Energy
is gathering among people active in the important work of organization
effectiveness. These people are beginning to understand that the input
of more women is needed at top levels of public and private sector
organizations and institutions.
Women’s
ways of organizing to do work are only recently being recognized. They
are substantially different from the approaches pioneered in an earlier
time by men and that we see reflected in the operation of today’s
organizations. The female lens is an essential missing piece if our
organizations are to achieve balanced and sustainable generativity.
The
addition of the female lens brings balance and wholeness to our
organizations. It has the potential to transform the way leadership is
done and the way we order life and structure organizations.
We need the very best that both men and women have to offer to run a business, build a community, co-exist on the planet.
